How do I label sale items?

Each article for sale must have attached to it a label made of card.  Please do not use stickers as we can't easily add them up at the end.

LABELS MUST BE SECURELY ATTACHED

We cannot accept responsibility for labels that get lost in sorting or during the sale.

Labels should state clearly:
  • The selling price
  • Size / age range of the article
  • Your seller id
  • LIFE or RECYCLE or RETURN as required (see Special Requests)

High price items benefit from a brief description of the article.

The label should be attached with safety pins or sewn in to items of clothing.
Toys, nursery equipment etc should be labelled with luggage tags (bought or home-made).
Tags can be secured to books using an elastic band threaded through the tag hole, then the band stretched around the spine, or using string.

Items which include more than one piece must be tied together securely.

Please...
  • Do not make labels out of paper - they tear off easily and get lost
  • Ensure labels are securely attached
  • Only write on one side of the label
  • Do not put more than one pricing label on any item
  • Do not use dressmaking pins to attach labels - they are a danger to the sorters

ITEMS THAT ARE NOT LABELLED IN THE REQUIRED WAY
WILL NOT BE DISPLAYED
